MATERIALS AND SUSTAINABILITY

CYGNET approaches sustainability through material choice, production scale, and longevity.

Materials

CYGNET works primarily with solid gold, natural gemstones, and natural or natural-blend textiles for both shell and lining fabrics, selected for durability and long-term wear. Natural materials vary in appearance and age through use; these changes are expected and contribute to longevity rather than disposability.

Production

Production is intentionally limited. Jewelry is produced to order, and ready-to-wear is offered in small runs, pre-order, or made-to-order depending on the category and season. This approach prioritizes precision and reduces unnecessary overproduction.

Longevity

CYGNET designs are intended to be worn regularly and maintained over time. Repairability and care are considered as part of the design process, extending the usable life of each piece.

Scope

CYGNET does not claim to be fully sustainable. Environmental impact exists at every stage of production. As the studio grows, decisions around materials, production, and partners are made with long-term responsibility in mind. Practices and standards will continue to evolve as capacity allows.
